Gather round my children and I shall tell you a tale. A tale of terror, destruction and sickening violence. These are the true stories of heroism and extremly violent death that occured during the Great Care Bear Wars. Many probably thought the hapless creatures of the Kingdom Of Caring were unable to go to war and the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins belived this to be true also. Unfortunatley they were wrong. Very wrong. The outbreak of war became reality when Tenderheart Bear, iron-fisted ruler of Care-A-Lot, felt his dominance was challenged by the leader of the Forest Of Feelings, Bravheart Lion. Tenderheart, well known for his short temper and tendency to fly off the handle, first took his anger out on little Baby Tugs Bear, beating him until he was severly injured and had to be hospitalised. Then Tenderheart employed the help of one Good Luck Bear, or G.L. Bear, to take care of his little lion problem. G.L. was known for his deadly aim, rarely missing his target.
The next day, G.L. positioned himself behind a grassy cloud, and awaited the arrival of the king of the Forest Of Feelings. He watched and Braveheart eventually arrived. G.L. watched as Braveheart stalked and killed some Care Bear child, shredding it to pieces and devouring its internal organs. G.L. had seen enough. He took aim at the lions chest and fired. Braveheart hit the ground hard. G.L. rejoiced slightly until he felt something slide across his legs. He looked down and saw a brown, furry tail slither around them, holding them together. G.L. fell to the floor and blacked out.
When G.L. awoke he wasn't sure where he was. It was dark and the only light streamed in through windows adorned with bars. He tried to stand but fell again as his legs were both broken. He swore to himself as he realised his good luck had just run out.
These events led to the hospitilisation of Braveheart, who made a speedy recovery, thanks to the care given to him by Loyal Heart Dog, who never left his bed side. G.L. was a prisoner of the Care Bear Cousins, which further angered Tenderheart. After giving Baby Tugs another beating he decided the only solution to the problem was to mobilise his troops for war.
And so begins this great saga, come back soon for the tale of the first day at War....
